I am so jealous that I can't dress up like it's Halloween and play hard music. Save me, bass666.

Don't insult Ganondorf unless that little post count of yours reaches the triple digits.

I hated Slipknot back in the day except for "Spit It Out" and "Wait and Bleed". I still don't care for them but I've heard some of the new album and it's not THAT bad. The lyrics aren't as laughable and goth-livejournal-quality as the "self-titled" album. Even the acoustic stuff is good which is something I didn't expect. If this is their last album, it's a graceful way to move on.

You know, if we 'haters' wanted to, we COULD get on stage and jam those songs. However, as a self-respecting thrasher and metalhead, I would never do something like that on a stage, unless it was just a joke.

Well, if you ever decide to go listen to metal, acoustic guitars are used as well. I don't know what ever made you think that Slipknot are "gothic super metal"... lol.

No offense, but please shut up. We all know how high and mighty you are and your high-horse is a well-known vehicle around here, but bass's post was more ignorant than mine, more immature, and at least mine was in half-jest. The last thing I want from you is another inane flame war like in the Thrice threads so let's leave it as this: bass666 didn't contribute to the thread and neither will anything between us on who is and isn't ignorant. If you would like, you can call me an asshole or whatever in retribution to my insult to you, but end it at that, please. Thank you.
It's a lot more ordered and at some points actually sounds like music. And they make full use of the 9 members on this CD, which surprised me.
I think Slipknot was awesome, but it seems sorta like they've gone more for image now rather then actually musicality (*if thats ever a word) Anyhow, if u like the old Slipknot but i hate the new stuff, try listening to Cradle of Filth or other Death Metal bands, they're easy to get into and great **** to learn.

I wonder why they decided to call their forth album Vol 3. Anyway, I've got it, and so far I think it's pretty ****. But then so was Iowa. What a waste of £16!

Slipknot was OK, if you had the digipack anyway. But they're all crap compared to their first, MFKR, which was actually quite good, you could listen to it for longer than 3 minutes without having a headache and wanting to kill someone :D

Well, all I saw was a sentence claiming that post count brings non-newb status, and found it very ignorant. If you meant it as a joke, my apologies.

No matter what any of you say, the new, and old Slipknot albums rocks, and I dont believe they should ever break up, and I dont believe they will, they went platinum on Slipknot and are going to go platinum on Vol.3, and the acoustic is awesome, any true metal fan would agree, and one who is not a true metal fan would dissagree, and one more thing, Joey Jordison is my inspiraton for drumming!
