This was underwhelming on the first listen, but this grew on me. There are some catchy songs here.

So I've listened to every thing from Killswitch and Jesse's other bands in the past couple weeks and

came back with the same idea about this album, which is that it is above average but not amazing.

Listening to it after a week's break, I really can't think of it that highly. The structure is just so

damn generic.

One thing I have realized is that there is rarely a change in mood or pace. It's all a bunch of fast

and poppy songs. Listen to The Empire Shall Fall or Times of Grace and you will hear a lot more

experimentation and breaks in form. Killswitch Engage should be more experimental if the band wants to

put out another classic.

Above average, but not amazing describes this well.

Just got the special edition of this. The bonus tracks are actually pretty good, though the chorus in Blood Stains isn't that great.

I going to see Killswitch in June in San Francisco! As I Lay Dying is also along for the ride, as well as Miss May I and Affiance.

Lowered my rating a bit but I still think this has some of the best songs the band has ever done.

This is one of my favorite 3.5s. It isn't really growing off of me, which is a good sign.
