It's a shift in sound. I like this about as much as I like The Fire (alot), but I'd listen to this at
entirely different times. They haven't improved. Their just continuing to make 8-8.5/10 Post-Hardcore
just with a different atmosphere. Buddy's voice still sounds horrific on some tracks (everything after
The Path) though the screams are much improved. I want to like Canine and Snake Bite and Courage of
The Knife but I can't because he sounds so strained and nasally. The guitars and drums sound more
badass and menacing but that's really about it.
Still Searching is still the pinnacle of this band and of the Warped Tour Adolescent Post-Hardcore
scene. Very Very good album, but in no way is this a 4.5 or a 5. I know I gave this the average
rating but this album is a bit overrated.

I have been a fan of Senses Fail since 2002 when they released From the Depths Of Dreams, and loved them up until after still searchimg was released amd they lost me after That, but with Renacer they have regained a loyal followerand am glad to see them return to their heavier roots. It has been a long time coming, but I think this has finally shown them comin back into what made us all love them initially.
