yeah i probably like LIEY more than LINAWR. The thing about LINAWR is it didn't really have anything going for it that wasn't already heard on Still Searching. Family Tradition was catchy but no better than 'Can't be Saved' and songs like 'yellow angels' were great but couldn't top 'The Priest and the Matador' IMO

@spirit, definitely agree that LINAWR is a much improved SS.

I just can't get into LIEY nearly as much; there are so many meh songs on it.

Andcas, the deluxe version of SS? If so, by far it is much better. Stretch Your Legs to Coffin Length, Mason's Revenge, and Salvation are so great I can't believe they didn't make the album

Nah The Fire was basically a heavier Still Searching. This is a totally different sound

I just think that Heath from Midtown added really strong musicianship to LINAWR, and it feels like he was just finding his feet on SS. I wish he was still with them, he is a great lead guitarist.

yeah I remember them going for a distinctly heavier sound on The Fire which is kind of what everyone says about this one too

this heavier in a different way. much more of a straight hardcore vibe with some sludgy riffs

With this they took the heavier parts of the Fire and expanded them into full songs

The songs here have way more identity than those on The Fire

The Fire would've sounded exactly like Renacer if it was produced by the Crosses guy. just my opinion though. I get this vibe that they've been told how to sound on this record. On The Fire they were still working with the producer from the Still Searching days which is why they still sounded like Senses Fail. They have a new producer now, which means they can sneakily take all the credit for the sound-switch and claim it as maturity on their part.

the only songs on the fire that are even somewhat similar to this album are 'lifeboats' and maybe 'coward' or 'new years eve'.
