If you would like more of that Demon, I suggest to go backward in his discog. The earlier the Bonobo, the less dancefloor and the more jazzy.

Lost interest in the guy but I hope he proves me wrong with the records to come...

I should check out his first 2 records, thanks. I'm trying to expand my horizons a little as far as electronic music is concerned & I listen to a ton of it at work. Plenty of time on my hands for that particular endeavour.

Cool! I'd say those two rule. Have you also checked Cinematic Orchestra?

Yep, also cool. Won't forget Cinematic's first two though, those rule hard.

This is a legendary album for me. I was lukewarm at best toward electronic music until I heard sapphire

id say the earlier the bonobo, the more it sounds like discount boards of canada.... but also somehow just better than some of this later stuff? idk

Hmm, I don't really see that, I love his early stuff and I don't really like BoC. But

i legit was thinking of the wrong one

in my defense, i revisited them around the same time last year, and both followed a similar trajectory of surprisingly interesting early material then gradually becoming more amorphous and mainstream-accessible

And no worries, this happens to the best of us (point proven by YOU experiencing said confusion 💖😘).

I'd imagine it's kind of nice down there. Cold, dark, and with a crushingly heavy blanket of water all around you.
