Well, didn't take long before the new northlane thread went to shit either.

give me an example of somewhere in my explanation that I said, or alluded to the fact that I think people who like this album are dumb

"like i know its a waste writing so much, but seriously, how can any person who is passionate enough
about quality music on this site give this anything above a 1.5 or 2 at the best, it's so stupid and
boring"

i gave the album an honest listen, one time through, and a few listens to individual tracks, for reasons I don't eve fully understand. I've always thought the band was laughably bad, and I wanted to see what they would do next i guess

in no way does that say that my belief is that people who like this album/band are stupid. I simply cannot understand how certain people enjoy it, that doesn't mean I think their stupid and my opinion is the only one. you're talking out of your ass which is probably the same thing you'll convince yourself that im doing, even though I gave legitimate reasons for my hatred of this record

The fact that you cannot see why people would like it is where you fail.
|

andcas I like joyce manor, is a real boy era say anything, polar bear club and a ton of indie emo and midwestern emo stuff which usually consists of bands who are considered precursors to modern indie pop punk, to answer your question
|
| |
maybe I misspoke
I can see why certain people who like other bands in this genre would dig this, but I can't find even one redeemable moment on this entire lp

midwestern emo is a lot of fun
|

ill assume parker is vocalist for ssf
he sucks tremendously in my opinion, don't see the talent of which you speak, but to be fair, ive only
heard a handful of songs from each record, one of those being the new one. Boring as fuck
|

new shai hulud sucks, that within and especially hearts rule so hard though

ehhhh

even if I was incorrect in labeling him a little dweeb with zero talent, any talent he may possess doesn't come across in any way to me. His vocals are one note, lacking in any power, girly and pathetic and his melodies are insanely flat with the exception of a few semi interesting hooks. his lyrics are also pretty cliche and dull from what i remembered. talent and good songwriting are not the same thing

so you've never made fun of someone for liking an album you don't, or not sharing your opinion? bullfuckingshit

it takes talent to write good songs soo
|

@keyblade didn't say that. i troll endlessly, incessantly even but in this particular instance, my feelings of the album, description of it and discussion in this specific thread are genuine reflections of my opinions, completely void of any usual progmaster bullshit. just opinions that andcas doesn't like because he's an idiot
