Naff record. Sure has plenty of fans though judging from the insane amount of vitriolic comments my review of it elsewhere has inspired.
The thing that really annoys me is the insinuation that it is somehow 'experimental' or 'progressive'. I just don't get that at all. Yeah there are some slightly jazzy bits. Other than that it's basically just a standard stoner/sludge record.

a bit disappointed for now, need a few more listens,
but I miss former intronaut aggressivity.

was 4, turned into a 3.5 after a few listens. the album seems rather pointless to me.

This is very samey. I can't really tell the difference between the songs on this album. The Welding is cool though.

greg, you should c/p that to an actual review and post it with a 2.5 rating, will be your first somewhat negative review

I've written some somewhat negative reviews, but it was a long time ago. Btw, this is better than 2.5, but not much.

I'd have to say this is my favourite of their albums. Void rocked, but did not have any staying power. Historicisms was an extremely ambitious and interesting record, and I find this album picks up where that one left off. VOS had some great moments, but seemed too pieced together.
The standout tracks for me on this album are Harmonicom and Eventual.
Lets be honest here, this band doesn't rock very hard. The vocals and lyrics are average. The guitar work is pretty and sparse, but nothing spectacular. It's the long instrumental passages of bass and drums with chimey guitar chords that really makes this band stand out.
This is my first post here!
P.S Anyone who likes jazzy prog without too much wankery should check out the Italian band Area, from the 1970s. A criminally unheard of band- better than King Crimson.

For me, they've just gone in the most trite direction. They basically play post-metal know. Granted, this style may be executed well and it is here at times because these guys are great musicians. Yet, the songs tend to bleed into one another too often, and the record becomes a bit of a snooze fest in the end.

it's way too early to call this classic but I think it could
be, Slaughter of the Soul-style, for opening up the
genre to new audiences. next time I want
Prehistoricisms back though. the clean stuff is great
but I miss the oomph of the early stuff.

god I fucking love this band
