"after the disbandment of P.S. Eliot, Katie Churchfield’s recent solo work can best be described"

" nothing but Churchfield’s beautiful vocals and that oh-so-lovable acoustic strumming pattern to
warm our ears."

"Katie Churchfield tells her stories. "

"This is the music that Katie Chruchfield makes now, and damn is it good."

Her last name is Crutchfield

yeah this is tied with new Flaming Lips for my favourite album of 2013 so far. I mean, that's only gonna last until April 23rd (new Laura, baby!) but for now, yeah, this is so much better than pretty much everything else getting hype right now.

Thanks for the pointers Jacob. I'll consider them.

haha seriously though thanks, I'll do some tweaking.

You have no idea how much of a compliment that is to me. I really, really, REALLY wish I could write nearly as well as he does.

Robin it's been too long since you've drunk-messaged me on facebook. I expect this to be rectified before the week is over.

I really like this album art. And if I like album art, I'm almost 100% guaranteed to love it. The review made me more excited to give this a solid listen.

I was actually just thinking that I'm not that crazy about the cover art. I am hopefully picking up the vinyl though so maybe that'll change when I have it full-size.

Crutchfield has a way of delivering a line so casually that it takes a half-dozen listens to fully realize how devastating it is.

Absolutely, so damn true.

Damn that is a great review. Really informative as well, I didn't know this was recorded in Philly.
