I wish this album had a little more variety but still, it's awesome

Owls Predict is actually kinda lame. Very sameish throughout and boring. Still much better than any song on Stabbing the Drama, though.

More variety? Are you fucking with me or are you just trolling? This has the most variety, in the positive sense of the word, of all their albums.

I really liked Light the Torch by these guys. Can't say as I have actually listened to an album by these guys. Is this a good place to start?

Dammit Willie, you noob.

It's A Predator's Portrait, not The Predator's Portrait.

But yeah this review is making me want to listen to this, especially since I haven't cared about this band for a while.

A more solid effort in musicianship, but the lyricism is weaker than ever- and makes this extremely hard to listen to.

Definitely.

Haha. Shit.

You used to listen to Soilwork for their insightful lyrics??? You've set the bar pretty low, dude.

I've caught myself chuckling at a few of the lyrics but I mean, I don't listen to this kind of music for that.

I think my favorite is I BROKE THE RECORD FOR WASTING SOMEONE ELSE

Strid's lyrics have always been on the lame side.

Yes, I think Holographic Universe had some potential in that category. I thought that album might be their new direction and was disappointed when it wasn't. I'm well aware that lyricism has not been Scar Symmetry's strong point, but HU is proof that they can absolutely do better.

Forget the lyricism, the music is nothing special at all.

I might check this out, though I doubt this is anything like their first album which I actually quite enjoyed. Is there any melodeath influence on here at all?
