Maybe give it some more time. For most people, these guys need repeated listens. The Deluge is a bit more thrashy so you might enjoy it a bit more.

I am in the process of acquainting myself with the classic Heavy Metal bands and so far it has been hit and miss for me. Sabbath ia great, but most of their albums have a lot of filler. Priest is great and Fates Warning is amazing. Really like Angel Witch, as well. Witchfinder General, Mercyful Fate and Satan are pretty cool. Some other classics, however don't do much for me, for example Diamond Head, Maiden (hit and miss) and this one. Title track here sort of hooked me little as well, though, probably because it's got memorable vocal melodies. Gonna give another album of theirs a shot at some point, perhaps it will be The Deluge then.

Holy fucking shit this is a dank album. If the Midnight from Crimson Glory was the vocalist this band would have been unstoppable.

Midnight is incredible indeed but give it time and I think that you'll love Mark Shelton's vocals for this style of music.

Tbh I do actually quite like his vocals. They're rugged and have a lot of personality/style that would be lost with a more traditionally 'adept' vocalist. Although sometimes I check the song name only to realise he's been singing it for a while, it just doesn't sound like English, lol. Off the top of my head 'Necropolis' and 'Haunted Palace' ("Hunttaaaaaddd.... Pearl-Arrrrsssseeeeee!!!!").

But I am a fan of this, glad I found these guys yesterday.

Quite simply had to come back to rate this a 5. Every song's classic material in its own way.
