well at least now I know.
I still think it's not the best band name.

Mildly remarkable how almost every single review by a major publication has landed this album within the 60/100 ballpark, give or take a few points.

“Thom Yorke????”
Jesus, Spot on mate.
Edit: "supergroup" oh well that makes sense. ;-)

Album Rating: 4.0
It's pretty much precisely what I expected: textures culled from the song from which the "supergroup" takes its name, infused with a bit more heft & bass, and finished with Yorke's hallmark dense, dark poetics. It's not novel or innovative, nor is it a melding of influences, but I didn't expect as much. SilentPotato's hit the nail on the head: it's a nice progression of the styles explored on The Eraser and The King of Limbs. I understand and respect the reviewer's disappointment, though.

Actually probably gonna bump it another .5 just for the percussion. I really think the rhythm section is the hero of this album.

Thom Yorke's vocals weren't really as haunting as I am used to, and even though I feel this album does feel a little like The King of Limbs, which I didn't like at all, I still thought this album was enjoyable, don't understand the negative reactions to it, its pretty decent.
