Oh, a lot of the Japanese artists I've picked up are more in the prog-rock/post-rock vein, so they're on a different side from the one's you've listed. Try Acid Mothers Temple though if you haven't heard them, they're pretty famous. Good psych rock/noise band.

I can tell you right now, Keys is INFINITELY better than Dare to Dream, at least I think so personally. He performs a few songs off of that album on Love at the Acropolis, so if you like the performances of those songs on that one, I'm sure you'll like the original album versions on Keys as well.
