does this band really need a prog tag? Just a thought. It certainly doesn't need the grind one. I know it's a by-product of our (still) underdeveloped tag system here, but this is how RYM classifies DS...

"Genres

Brutal Death Metal, Technical Death Metal, Death Metal"

In the absence of brutal / tech, maybe you can justify prog, but I still think it's a wonky / inaccurate descriptor overall, especially as we cannot classify specific releases. RYM does credit DS with prog metal as a 'minor tag' but for their latest two releases only (they use this for 'influences' rather than actual genres, as far as I understand it)

thoughts? Who cares? etc.

Yeah, prog doesn't fit here at all. It's flashy and state of the art technical but not prog. Ingurgitating Oblivion (which features Lille on drums too) is a better fit for "prog" inside the tech death canvas. Any option/hope to add more/different tags to sputnikmusic?

loads have been added in the last year or so

I don’t think we can expect too much in all honesty

I see someone removed grind at least

Classic modern brutal/tech death. Everything you could want from a death metal band in one album. Eeasily one of the heaviest death metal albums of all time
