I'd argue this band's only flaw during their initial run was their tendency to either be too indulgent or very barebones. Mass Murder, to a certain extent, finds a middle ground but even, that album has a few flaws that stop it from being a classic or as esteemed as Y.

Flowers is underrated
although I will say this, at least TPG didn't regress as badly as PiL did after Wobble left.
I love 'em, but they've never been the same since.
