"Its not supposed to be an innovative record. Tgey just know what there doing."

Not well enough to differentiate themselves from the pack. I'd be alright with them just doing an unoriginal genre better than their peers, but I don't hear much here except a vocalist who needs a better band behind him.

The guy has some solo stuff coming soon. Maybe that might be better i your interest.

On an unrelated topic, has anyone noticed that if you search'sputnikmusic' [google] Dev's account is like the third hit?

Nope. I get the actual site, the Wikipedia entry, Sputnik on Facebook, Twitter, Metacritic, and then two Tumblrs.

@ bloc, I totally agree. it's the accessibility of the band that makes them appealing. Longer songs would kill them.

@ auberginedreams, they aren't actually touring, and I don't know if everyone involved in the original band worked on the album. This was mostly stuff that they wrote before they broke up, and they got together and actually finished the recording of it and decided to self release it. That's about all I know. And I agree with your opinion of the first album, but this one isn't really much different at all unfortunately. It's still a fun listen though, if you do enjoy the style.

I think theyve actually taken a step back in terms of intensity.

Gotta say though, one trick pony vocalist's solo stuff has got to be some of the worst music I have ever heard.

One trick pony? Sad dude how many metal vocalists do you know that would take on Pavarotti. Do your homework

Yeah I saw that, but chances are it'll crash for another 3 years or so. They're basically begging people to get the music of BandCamp as that's where they're going to get the biggest percentage.

This is ok, but too predictable in many songs.

I just got into Spotify and will now be using it for listening to new music. It even has albums like

this, which is cool. It is a completely free service (with a premium version as well) that has over 15

million songs. MOG is another good one that I have read about.
