Henry's Dream just seems like a cohesive summation of the bad seed's style up till the 90s. Not as special as this album was.

blixa bargeld is unreal on this. I think it’s dumb that the birthday party broke up at all. Rowland fucking ruled

The title track is the best thing he ever did.

Without a doubt one of my favorites of the Bad Seeds discography along with "Your Funeral...My Trial" and "Tender Prey". Still raw as fuck, epileptic and genuinely rotten to the core, a mood that will eventually fade away from "The Good Son" onwards... My favorite era from Cave and the boys.

A case study in just why rampant heroin abuse is actually very very good for the creative process

Hey, you got rate authentic to yourself! I’ve been a huge Cave fan for almost a decade, and this one only really clicked for me in the last 6 months. This was my least favorite Cave (barring Nocturama, that shit’s just drab as Hell) for like a long long time

Totally get it Colton but discog is long af...if somehow you re not feeling the Cave its hard to cover 20 2.5s lmao...that compilation may be a good option to check what you may feel or not in his long career.

It’s so good Johnny, guitar discordance on the title track is, like, the best stuff Blixa’s ever done (and Blixa’s done SO MUCH brilliant shit so...)
