I keep going back to relistening to this album over and over again throughout the years, and I am becoming more and more convinced that it is a masterpiece not just for the thrash subgenre but for metal in general.
All the more reason for me to can't stand Equal at First... If it had been only slightly better (or at all absent), this album would have been elevated even more!
Ah, the perfectionist in me...

Sounds like a combination of Lamb of God riffs and Confessor drums + vocals. Which is excellent in my book!
It's crazy that this is from 1992! Way ahead of its time!
But I see no reason why it was posted in this thread, out of all? : P

I might be wrong, but wasn't this at 4.2 for a reaaaally long time until recently-ish? Must have gotten bumped up to 4.3 not long ago, which only pleases me! Now if we can get it to at least 4.4, then THAT would be justice! : )
btw one thing I see in many reviews of this album, which really annoys me, is the slagging of the Nazareth cover. I've explained as much in my own review of the album that I consider it not only an excellent cover, but a song that also serves an important role within the tracklist's context.
If you think about it, By Inheritance overall is a very crushing, depressing, melancholic and generally a dreary album. When Razamanaz hits, it provides the perfect lightening up, diversifying the mood a bit, and improving the album overall.
imho the record would have actually been weaker without this inclusion.
edit: And, to add to that, I honestly also don't get many reviewers' praise of "Don't Believe". It's my second least-favorite song on here, after the already mentioned Equal at First.

The cover's fine but that's kind of the tone the album's going for. Also, Don't Believe is in the top three on this.

Don't Believe is a great change of pace and holds its own but this album's packed to the gills with bangers and I dunno if it does break the top three
