Released two months ago to a large amount of critical acclaim, being heralded as the band's best release since White Pony if not their best,
Here's the best part, Deftones fans are so faggy that they've said this about everything that came out after White Pony. I've heard that phrase mentioned with each album.

yup. 2 years ago everyone was all "omg Diamond Eyes 5/5 better than White Pony" but now when I talk to a Deftones fan they say "dude that's like their worst album"
anyway, I still honestly cannot understand the praise that these guys get. The music is nice to listen to but it doesn't go anywhere or do anything that I haven't heard hundreds of times before. It just feels so lifeless to me, and I've tried 3 albums of theirs now. oh well, different strokes, but usually I at least understand hype trains that pass me by. This one leaves me scratching my head though.
