"Storm in a teacup" is by far one of the worst songs I've heard in a long time.

Every song is the worst song I've ever heard.

For their debut LP ''Til Death', young Australian metalcore act Capture the Crown don't exactly show a great deal of diversity or creativity. Produced by Cameron Mizell & mastered by Joey Sturgis, the derivative quintet include all of the metalcore cliches; from the hit & miss synths to the monotonous guitar breakdowns. Jeffrey Wellfare's vocals include high screams, low growls & clean choruses; the latter of which are his strength - when not heavily auto-tuned. It's not terrible (apart from 'Storm In a Teacup') since it will appeal to fans of the genre, but it's definitely not going to convert anyone either. Recommended Tracks: The Departed 2.0 & Fork Tongued.

Never heard of those guys before... Sounds pretty awful at first listen though.

I'm probably not masochistic enough to give this a second listen...

the acoustics felt forced to me and didnt go well with how sharp his vocals are produced. i thought the heavier stuff sounded better

Damn, I actually like The Departed and Insomniac was okay. However, I could see a whole album worth of this to get a bit monotonous. I'll give it another shot, though.

Makes me feel like I'm back in HS. You have to admit that a lot of their sound and image were almost a complete rip-off of AA, though. Especially after seeing their You Call That A Knife vid.

Futures literally every single one of your digs is either Opeth or Oasis lol.
|
| |
Ever checked out Enslaved? Pretty much the Black Metal version of Opeth.
|
| |
You're right Agalloch is probably a better fit for that title. Definitely dive into Enslaved, though.
Some really cool shit.
You should check out Shade Empire, snide.
