Might 4 this if it didn't have the filler tracks that are boring on their own merit on top of killing the album’s flow.

So I’ve heard. I’m sure I’d like it. Bruce Willis was in some of the best ridiculous ass yet endlessly entertaining sci fi back in those days. 12 Monkeys is still one of my favorite movies.

Pretty much every track here rules and is classic progressive metal.

The interludes are gorgeous on this though.

The sound on this is so muddy, and the drumming dropped in quality so fucking much. Not a bad album, but definitely the weakest in their discography.

I don't think the drumming dropped in quality more than the drumming changed to accomodate the stylistic differences this album has in contrast to the previous one. UP has more death/thrash in it while this is pretty much full-on progressive metal. Flynn and Greenbaum are distinctly different drummers.

Regardless, this has some of the best writing in their discography, hands down.

Like, it's more frantic on Unquestionable Presence but that doesn't make it superior to what's done here.
