Page is still such a boss with his silver ponytail.
I wish they'd tour but let's face it this was probably their last show. Apparently Plant just refuses to do it, they had to
really twist his arm to even play Stairway at this show cos he "doesn't identify with those lyrics anymore" or some wank.

I was SO lucky to be there...
The performance, and DVD, was everything it could have been, truly worthy to be Led Zeppelin's final note.
The album also must contain one of, if not the best recording of Kashmir.

The best ending to their career possible. Amazing concert.

I love this release. The only flaw I can find in the noticeable feedback during a few songs, especially Stairway.

I preordered this and having been waiting for it for a long while now. Got the 2 disc and DVD: I seriously can't wait to listen/watch and this review made that worse.
Phenomenal review, man. Pos'd.

Plant lost a significant part of his range and power, which is anything but surprising, but they actually sound great here. This concert was bound te be released eventually.

Plant sounded like shit on record from HOTH onwards for my money. I still think his best vox were that first album, so raw and powerful.

What about No Quarter?
|
| |
Yeah it rules, his lower vox are fine, I'm more referring to his screams and wails. On stuff like 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' and 'Dazed and Confused' and that scream at the start of 'I Can't Quit You Baby' it's like whoa, but on the later stuff it just sounds to me like he's blown his voice out and the same power isn't there.

I actually agree with you Tommy and Nag. If you watch the Led Zeppelin DVD (the one with the boulder) you can really see how Robert Plant's voice has changed.
In the Royal Albert Hall performance he was just so powerful and dominating with his voice, I mean he is just wailing on the microphone. But on the latter dates like the Madison Square Garden show and the Earls Court one he's much more restrained. But Robert did sound pretty good on this one, especially in the "No quarter" performance.

Yeah my download just finished can't wait to jam this!
I suppose the way he sung and the sheer amount of shows they did would take their toll on his voice in a pretty short space of time.
