Before tonight I was iffy on whether to get that soon or not but now it's a top priority.

I swear I have heard like half this cd before I ever knew who Radiohead were.

I put this album on the other day and it's still fantastic. A 5/5 Classic in my opinion. Sure, "Sulk" and "(Nice Dream)" are subpar, and for that matter, Planet Telex is not that great either, but the rest of the album is outstanding: "Just", "Fake Plastic Trees", and "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" are the sort of incomparable songs that justify Radiohead's lofty reputation. "Black Star", "Bulletproof ... I Wish I Was" and "My Iron Lung" are also excellent. "The Bends", "High and Dry" and "Bones" are all very good too, although they have not aged as well as some of the other songs on the album. This is one of those albums you can listen to hundreds of times and never get sick of, and makes you want to get out your guitar and wail like Thom Yorke. Fantastic!

I still like Sulk :-(. However, most of the material on this doesn't strike me like later Radiohead does.

Yeah Sulk and Nice Dream aren't really subpar.

I haven't listened to this in forever. I think I will tomorrow.

How the hell is Planet Telex mediocre? It's an absolutely amazing song.

I find this to be the most rock related Radiohead album. I really enjoy the song the album title track "The Bends", and "Street Spirit (fade out)" is my favorite track on the album. I think Street Spirit in a way kind of introduces some of Radiohead's thoughts for their next album OK Computer.

I agree this album is great. Good batch of songs in this release. But I do agree with the review on it having a few bad songs that really don't do anything for the listener.

Good review buddy!

This is good but not as good as Kid A or OK. Favorites so far are the title track, My Iron Lung and Street Spirit.

What about Just? That song is awesome.

It has grown to be one of my favorites on this as well as
ahem... Black Star?
.
Is Street Spirit a cover? It sounds awfully familiar.
