I understand DIY somewhat-- I've been making my own music for ten years, with varying degrees of success. that Light Bearer has turned out so well with so little funding is amazing, and speaks to how far really having your heart in something can take it. hearing Tom on the record would be awesome, especially the clean vox (the we are the sons of fire / we are the daughters of light line still gives me chills). I know touring isn't your highest priority, but if you can make it to the US East coast, I'll definitely be there.

(also, I wrote the review here, but my real name only shows up on the review itself)

I'd accredit some of their success to FoE (I know you hate the two being compared Alex) because they got somewhat of a cult following. Now, people like me, crazy fans with their images tattooed and who buy up any art, will listen to anything those members do. It just so happens that Light Bearer was easily AOTY with Lapsus.

Alex, why do you have such a love-hate relationship with Tumblr? You've deleted it at least twice now and it's a bummer as I don't use Facebook.

@Xing - very cool tattoos! Watership is my favorite book. the "My Chief Rabbit has told me to stay and defend this run, and until he says otherwise, I shall stay here." scene in particular sends a shiver down my spine.
