The Diplomat still has one of the best music videos of the past few years.

Production pisses me off so much here, drums are mastered horribly and JR sounds shot to tell.
Musically it's decent but easily PD's worst.

The production on this is what killed most of it for me. Also, the diplomat video is truly awesome, pleb.

It'll be interesting to hear how they sound with a full time bassist now

The band has been dicking around so much, releasing that shit EP once, then pretending it never got released and releasing it again, then remastering Prowler like I would figure they would want to try out writing new music with their bassist.

"releasing that shit EP once, then pretending it never got released and releasing it again"
That fucking killed me. I called them out on that on facebook too and then they deleted my comment lol

I don't understand the purpose of adding all of these members and then... doing nothing. They've only played a handful of shows the past few years and repressed old records. Where are the goods?

By far their weakest but in the grand scheme of things, album isn't all that bad. If the production was better than I'm sure it would not get as much hate.
Some of the tracks are great but as a whole the album comes across as rushed. Hayes' lyrics aren't as poetic as on previous releases and Hull's riffs aren't as monstrous.
However, there are enough redeeming qualities to make the album a decent one. Hopefully they will release a more 'grindcore' album next time rather than this more groove/death influenced material. I mean, I absolutely love pxdx but they haven't been the same band for years now. They're a lot more commercially viable but at least they released the deluxe version of Prowler. That album is (for me anyway) one of the best modern grindcore albums ever.
