NOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY AREN'T YOU AS GOOD ANYMORE!
I can tell you why JR's voice is shot. From like 2001-2010 they did live shows in the Dc/Baltimore Metro are almost monthly. Saw like 6 times in concert and I'm pretty sure I have permanent hearing loss somewhere in my future because of tiny venues with ridiculous acoustics like the Ottobar.
WORTH? OF COURSE

I like the punkier sound...but I think it does drag a bit for a 31 minute record, and the samples can be annoying.

I have to slightly disagree with your review and its not even that you did a bad job. This album does have more moments of pure brace yourself grind moments and some stellar guitar work by Hull than you give it credit for. Having said that everything else was spot on, this album doesn't live up to Prowler/Terrifyer/Phantomb Limb but it deserves a solid 3 or 3.5 man come on now.

Its not the same greatness you'd expect after listening to the previous records but its still an excellent effort. I really miss those horrifying lyrics though.

really disappointed in the lyrics this time around and not a huge fan of adam jarvis's drumming but it gets the job done and took a loooooong time to really get into this album but I liked it no the less though if I do need my fix of PD I'm probably not going to gravitate towards this.

glad to see nothing changes around here, majority of users are still fucking deaf

"glad to see nothing changes around here, majority of users are still fucking deaf"
I can't tell if that is saying I am deaf for thinking this is poor or if everyone is deaf for thinking this is awesome.

I haven't listened to it yet, but what's up with the discrepancy between this review and all the great reviews all over the net? (Pitchfork, etc.)

"I can't tell if that is saying I am deaf for thinking this is poor or if everyone is deaf for thinking this is awesome."
the former

I agree that the voice is seems weaker than on previous albums, but somehow the anger and the sickness are still there and I find it strangely appealing. Music-wise this is great, at least once you get used to the cleaner/more generic drums.

There is a "Wide Dynamic Range Master" of the record that came with the vinyl version of the album, and that is the different from the final album master that was on the CD, vinyl and Spotify. I don't like it as much as the final master cuz it's not as heavy but the riffs are clearer so it all depends on what you're looking for. I only kinda sampled it though, I'm gonna listen to it once all the way through and see what's up. But I like this record.

A video was just uploaded comparing the two masters. Some things I like, some I don't. There isn't enough difference to really make me care.

I think it's an awesome album, but this mostly stems from my love of ANb's Agorapocalypse...

The drum production on here is pretty bad.I liked Brian Harvey's playing style a lot more too.

Jarvis is skilled behind the kit but he doesn't know what the fuck he's doing in terms of how to enhance the song
