This is a bit belated, but Lambsbread I'd like to address some things you've said.

"you guys being immature and grasping at straws" I'd have to say man, if you think I'm grasping at straws, you need to take a good look at what you're doing (see rest of comment)

"Obviously no drake fan is gonna dig krs one" I'd have to say I'm living proof this isn't true. I genuinely enjoy both artists, and like I've said before, I have pretty diverse taste as far as hip hop goes. so it's not inconceivable that I'd dig both of their music.

"has too much of a modern taste in hip hop to enjoy krs" If you've seen my ratings, most of what I've touted very highly is late 80s, 90s, early 00s hip hop. It's actually pretty rare I give "modern" hip hop a high rating, Drake, ASAP Ferg, Mac Miller, Logic are pretty much the only exceptions. And half of them sound so throwback or are so reminiscent of older hip hop, they would blend right in with it and don't sound very modern at all.

"he isn't paying attention to the music the right way and appreciating it for what it is" I could easily say this in regards to what you posted on the Take Care thread. I've noticed when someone dislikes an album you have positive opinions about, you tend to say they simply aren't listening to it the right way. That's not always true. There's multiple ways to approach an album when listening, to dimiss them as not having a valid opinion at all is pretty flawed, dude.

"He's been runnin his mouth about krs and how I'm a fanboy numerous times" From my recollection, this thread is the only time where I've mentioned your KRS-One "fanboyism".

"decides to talk to me with some respect evey once in a while" See, this is just plain dishonest because ever since our little tiff in the Logic - Under Pressure album review, I've done nothing but give you respect (aside from this one-off KRS-One comment). I admire you because you are one of the few productive members in this section and have written a good number of terrific reviews. Also, you articulate yourself very well and besides, you're one of the few people in this seciton that actually engages in any constructive discussion.

(Continued)

"i came to a website i hadn't heard of that has almost no KRS ratings and told a lot of people to listen to him. people dissed me, i dissed them back" You know, it's actually funny because if you look at the ratings for KRS-One's eponymous 1995 album, the KRS album you have rated highest, I was the VERY first person to rate it. And I gave it a 4. Similarly, I was the second to rate I Got Next. The truth is, back during my first spell on this website, I was one of the few actually hoisting the BPD flag and heaping him some praise back when now long gone users such as Illmitch, Hydeyomoney, and Bulldog disregarded him as "tired" or "boring". Moreover, there are actually hundreds of individual ratings of his albums. So, once again, strawman.

This is more implicit, but you're insinuating that I don't agree you have a valid point about Good Kid M.A.A.D. City being a bit cliched and done "a million times already". I agree with what you say, don't get me wrong, but as I've stated in my own review of this, I really enjoyed the album for what it is because the concept was well-done and appreciated the unapologetic honesty of his narrative.

I know these gripes aren't all technically straw mans, but they all are fallacious in some sense.

im not trying to get into some silly tiff, i'm not coming off as abrasive. i'm just saying what I feel needs to be said. I even praise him quite a bit, if you read my post.
