I assume you're hearing the effects he's using. It's used in a couple songs, I believe. I like how it sounds, though; maybe you'll like the CD version more.

Whoops, missed your response to my comment. Almost all of Anberlins albums have been growers for me. I actually really liked Cities right off the bat though. It hooked me and ended up being a grower too. That doesn't happen too often to me either, but I think this one is going to do the same.



I didn't really think much of Modern Age at first but it has been working its magic on me with repeated listens.
