^ JFC forgot about that
Burt in Say Days Ago still blows my fucking mind. I saw a couple of those Taste of Chaos shows they did and I'm really glad I got to see that maniac live before he got clean. Loudest screams I've ever heard, and it's not fucking close.

Bulimic is so catchy and those angsty screams are perfect

Worst thing this band ever did was get rid of Brandon for getting sober. His snare tone on this album and ILAD is the best I've ever heard. It's so fuckin' crisp on Bulimic.

also when it comes to early-2000's post-hardcore/emo, Bert was king vocalist. Sucks he blew out his screaming ability, but the emotion on this album is unrivaled in the genre.

Can we talk about the bridge of "Greener with the Scenery" where Bert's screaming sounds so raw because he was getting objects thrown at him while recording? That's hilarious, but also a really clever way to get some genuine emotion haha.

Haha say what, that's amazing

If you listen carefully, you can hear the pots and pans clanging off Bert during that section.

I always hear that in the song, but I just thought that was just noise to make things sound more "chaotic" lol

If you like the drums/snare, just listen to anything in this era produced by John Feldmann.
