That is a terrible example of one of their directionless songs

Astral Body? Pretty sure it goes nowhere man.

It's frustrating, because individually there's no denying the talent they possess, but together, they are just so mediocre.

It goes right into the next song.

Fucking burn

Anyone else ever notice that subtle sample of The Silent Flight played behind the singing at the end
of Astral Body? If you listen carefully you'll here "My mind tells you to do...cut out... pieces!"
right before the song slows down

Actually, if you listen closely (and I mean VERY closely) to the end of Astral Body, you can hear some of the lyrics to Silent Flight.

I guess the ending to Astral Body is meant to foreshadow?

Honestly for me Melting City just sorta drags when in context to the album. Its a good song but after Telos and Bloom the last thing it needed was a 10 minute song before the final epic.
Silent Flight > Melting City x1000000000

Both are 5 star songs imo. Can't decide. Forgot how much I loved this album.

Imo they shoulda gave Melting City the intro riff of Telos, and used the former to replace the latter where it is on the album. Bloom would have been a perfect segue to The Silent Flight

I have a new love affair with Goodbye to Everything. Such a gorgeous opener to the album.

^^Yes best intro ever, including Foam Born (A).
