To be honest Deadwing is probably the album I like the most out of their post-Signify albums and Arriving Somewhere is a good song, I've never denied that. Still don't like the overall sound/direction of that album (regardless of whether its "alternative" or not) and it has some absolutely atrocious songs like Halo.

Ok yeah Halo sucks. For me all PT eras are pretty much equal, though. They all have their highlights, but I understand why you wouldn't like the direction of their career.

Oni don't compromise your opinion just because of people like JT, despite how much he bashes the shit out of new PT he's only one man and no one else thinks that way, DW and FOABP are great albums and 4s at the very least

Not that that means I give a shit about songs like halo or their lyrics

Deadwing is a straight 5, hands down. Halo is the worst song on the album, but I really can't fUlt any other song, except maybe shallow, but even that is solid

i actually like halo. i find it a biting criticism against the militantly religious

I Just don't like the chorus and compared to the rest of the album, it really sucks. It's still a decent song though, it's just surrounded by near perfection

Still gotta check camel, but I'm with choccy here. There's no denying 70s prog is varied but other than PF I just don't enjoy it as much as my modern prog :/ it's enjoyable nontheless though. Just don't connect with it as much.

I know I know KILL I'm terrible aren't i?
