Listening to this album was the first thing I did today, and boy did it impress me. A lot. Yet another stunning album by Converge. 'Aimless Arrow' and 'Coral Blue' are superbly written, not to mention the excellent title track.

I need to hear it again but I can't listen to this kinda stuff just before I sleep. At the start I was all like omg =O this rules hard but it seemed to lose a bit of oomph in the middle. Then it picked up again late. Everyone's saying the bonus tracks rule but I'm missing those. I really like when albums like this are shortish though.
There's alot to love about them. The guitar and drumming is kickass like everyone says. I love being able to hear bass on heavier albums. It's well produced in general.

I definitely hear the old Mastodon, but I think that's really just 90s Entombed coming through. Old Mastodon just sounded a lot like Entombed too, not that it's a bad thing.
Wow, it took 68 pages to nail the album on the head. It's so blatant that it's almost ridiculous in some parts. They ape the shit out of that sound.
