Since last year I don't think I've given this album a full listen. I know what's coming and what does

come is a mix of good and bad. This album is darker than previous Converge albums, and as a result

doesn't get me as pumped as I would wish. The flow is nowhere close to Axe to Fall.

Overall it is a good album but somehow it just doesn't interest me anymore. I think after the first

few listens it stopped being interesting. A lot of it sounds like filler to me. I'll listen to Sadness

Comes Home any day though. If only they set the album theme for that kind of feel.

doesn't flow quite as well as ATF and lacks the stand out tracks, however it's still consistently great and has the group's best production job since Jane Doe imo.

Yeah I agree that it is consistent in its own way, and the production is nice. It just doesn't

interest me much anymore. It is hard to say exactly why besides what I already mentioned.

listened to this again yesterday, and it's safe to say that this album still slays. great production indeed but I don't agree that it doesn't have stand out tracks. Coral Blue and s/t, for two, really stand out.

Glacial Pace is my favorite off this. The whole album is ace, though.

Glacial Pace is amazing, it has such a cold atmosphere.

The spoken-word part at the beginning gave me chills when I first heard it. Bannon really gets into his own state of mind. I love how decipherable his lyrics are on this album, too.

aimless arrow is pretty good but it's kind of a weak intro to the album imo, especially compared to stuff like first/last light, concubine and dark horse

It's better than Dark Horse, vocals are much more heartfelt and the lyrics are superb
