The first half is pretty fun if you don't pay too much attention to it. The second half sucks though, bar the album closer.

It is strange coming back to this after listening to Tre. It is indeed very straightforward and simple.
I understand the low scores from non-Green Day fans, but I still think this is a good album
even now, months after release.
Kill the DJ is still my favorite from this. Deal with it =)
So, I have Uno at 3.0, Dos at 3.5 (yep, severely under rated honestly), and Tre at 4.0.

I really like it too actually...It has some funky licks and the live version is much faster.

I love all the green day CDs and I've got all the CDs from 1,000 hours to Tré and I love all of them. cuz as long as I have fun listening to the songs and billie, Mike and tre have fun making them, I'm going to like it. k? their songs connect to me and the music just appeals to me in general. and all u people hating on 21stCB and the new trilogy, I understand that it's different from the past but it's not a big deal and u have to admit, the CDs have some good songs (in my opinion every song is great but that's just me)

No offense, man, but you sound kinda like a butthurt fanboy from this. Saying you're going to like it just because it's Green Day isn't a particularly good idea, and it's not critically appropriate to use "u" and "k" either. Plus, the review articulates exactly what is wrong with the albums. "It's different from the past" was not the only reason this got a 1.

@GD (assuming you're not a troll), I'm guessing you're quite young. Point granted about all of them having decent songs (EXCEPT FOR FUCKING DOS!), but that doesn't make them good albums. As you grow older, you'll come to understand that stuff like Nightlife is unforgivable for a group that once put out Dookie.
