I'd give this a 3.5, but great review Treb.

Best review of this yet, pos'd

A band very much out of ideas, the cleans are horrifying at times, My Only Home is fucking cringe inducing. The solos bug the shit out of me too. It all feels so contrived.

Good songs are few and far between but I think Wasted Worlds and Whispering Silence are the albums best and most interesting.

Pretty good review Treb. I agree this is the worst they've done since their debut. They should have stuck with Adam D., at least he was progressing their sound

While I agree with almost everything you said, I think it's a little unreasonable to say they ruined their progress. This shouldn't mean that they no longer have potential to make 'that' album. It's ok for us to be disappointed, but I don't think one mediocre release is going to make me lose hope for their future.

I can slightly agree with that, okay. Still, this is how AILD sound right now, recycled.

Honestly I'm still not sure what I think about this. Parts of each song are awesome, but each song isn't nearly as good as they could be. So listen to each song and pick out what parts you like, I guess.

Don't listen to this review.
This album is by FAR the best album they've created.
I love it, and it will bring me many moments of joy throughout my life for years to come.

This grew a little bit, Resilience is probably the best song. I really hope they turn this around.

A Greater Foundation and Wasted Words are the best. My Only Home would be great without that horrible chorus.

Cauterize rules hard. A Greater Foundation is pretty good no doubt. And a couple more good tracks, but album is mostly meh.
