Good stuff as usual Spatsy, this seems to be the only American Idol who has been able to establish a real career (take that Clay!) I like "Since U Been Gone" but I wouldn't want this if it had more than one song like "Because of You" (she doesn't use U there, wtf?) She looks kind of ugly on the cover.

To be fair Clay didn't win, but yeah I don't see any of the other Idols winners or runners-up to have any kind of popularity beyond obsessive fans of the show.

Also the cover is pretty ugly.

I have only heard the singles from this album. And I've never tried to. It's one of those "forced" things... everybody has heard these songs, sometimes against their will, every time they go to buy groceries, get gas, dine out, or start your car after someone left the radio on.

And no, I can't just change the channel because 95% of the time that I hear these songs I am in a public place and have no control over the musical content, unless I go somewhere else but by that time the song will be playing at the other store anyway so it's pointless. You just have to deal with it.

I don't like being forced into anything... but some people seem to not mind.

That being said, this was one of the best reviews I've ever read on this site. It was put together very well and had a nice flow to it. Very easy to read and no obvious mistakes. Well done!

Woah, I didn't know she won American Idol.

I knew this was by you by just seeing it on the main page. Fantastical job.

Clay Aiken is crap. As is everyone else who is on sucks in general.

Rock Star INXS is the real search for talent.

But again the judges got it wrong, the new INXS song sounds like a mixture of fake grunge and hair metal.

Pathetic fact: 122 million people voted in the presidential election. 500 MILLION PEOPLE voted for not the talented Bo Bice, but again the country bumpkin, only this time Carrie Underwood. Cheers America.

They're probably allowed to vote more than once. Those country fans are maniacal, I don't doubt there were some who spent hours on end voting for their darlings.

And Rock Star and Idol are the exact same shows, only one is geared toward rock-pop as opposed to pop-rock.

Kelly Clarkson's music is really good coming from a contest winner.

It's these contests that swear so much, but never give anything. Look at what happened to ESPN Dream Job. The winner never got a job at ESPN, they're were no empty positions. I think that she breaks the mold as a modern pop singer, not to mention she came from the most watched reality show on television for the past 4 years.

Kelly Clarkson is the best pop music out here right now, period. Well, I give her and Natalie Imbruglia nods for that.

I haven't heard an Imbruglia song since 1997.

I think the only Imbruglia songs I have heard are Torn and the lead single to the following album, Torn was great but considering I can't even remember teh other one I'm going to venture a guess and say it's not going to be winning any all-time awards anytime soon.

I don't remember why we are talking about Imbruglia or Hanson or whatev but Clarkson is pretty great

Kelly has a very nice voice which is almost rare these days. When I heard Behind These Hazel Eyes I figured that I had to have this album. I had to do a little research before I went out and bought it though. Hear Me is the song that sealed the deal and made me go out the same day to get it. Its kind of odd because I said that I would not buy an album from a tv show winner but she is so beyond that. The album has nice writing, great music and not to mention a real singer.

I'm falling in love with this album. Though the cover gets worse each time I look at it. What was she thinking?

Her voice is great. Better than a lot of mainstream artists. Enough said.
