Impulse and Augment are easy 5s for me, but 3.5 isn't a bad score at least

I'd have to listen to the full album to give it a definitive rating though, but 3.5 is definitely the score it was headed towards.

Definitely give it a full listen, it deserves it haha. Beautiful guitar work throughout with melodic leads and technical riffs, with some gorgeous solos scattered around. Garrison is a monster behind the mic with his bellowing lows and high shrieks, and his lyrics are some of the best I've ever read. Jesse has such a nice voice, and a wide range, I'm sure you'll dig it. The drums are pretty great too, excelling on songs such as Hybrid Earth and Prometheus. Synth work is next level too

This album is fucking phenomenal, rip om&m. I'll have to give Erra a spin sometime

Erra is progressive metalcore, and you can hear Misery Signals inspiration in the guitar work. Give Augment or Impulse a spin, because that's them at their best

OMAM released a new song, and Aaron Pauley is doing both screams and cleans now.

It sounds like The Flood blended with Restoring Force, mixed with Bullet For My Valentine influences and I'm digging the fuck out of it.

I certainly have high hopes, it'd be sweet if they could make something of this caliber again

If the album is anything like the new song, it's definitely gonna be at this level or at least close to it.

But the new song doesn't even remotely sound like anything from Cold World. The guitar work is more varied, the screams are back in full force, it's got a more metalcore edge to it, etc

I mean I'll admit that it sounds more like Restoring Force than anything else, but it still has traces of this in it. It's nothing like Cold World tho
