I like City of Evil but I have a bit of a negative nostalgia for it. It's a combination of the
places in which I listened to it that bring back bad memories, and also how I listened to it so much
in the first two months that I killed it for myself before I could let it grow properly. With Waking
the Fallen, I listened to it during the summer, and it was a special summer for me personally. That
provides much better nostalgia. Waking the Fallen is pretty much in my blood now.
City of Evil, I think I started listened during 10th grade. In fact, it was the end of 10th
grade/the summer right after 10th grade that I got into to Waking the Fallen. City of Evil was
wearing off around that time and Waking the Fallen made my summer runs 1000% better. I also have a
great memory listening to Sounding the Seventh Trumpet on the last day of 10th grade, in line to
turn in my books. The line was long so I was able to listen to most o the album, then finish on my
way back home. Damn, that day, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet became one of my favorite metalcore
albums ever. Waking the Fallen beats it by an inch.
