Also fun fact, Matt the vocalist briefly filled in as underoath's vocalist when Dallas got kicked out

Listening to their new song Redefined. Its pretty run of the mill generic core. Eh. Got a feeling their comeback album is gonna be the same as this one.

yeah it def doesn't have the punch of a song like My Own Grave, but it could just be placebo effect since that song came at a time where I didn't really know much newer core that sounded like it and only knew the mass of Drop G chugga chuggs. Now that I know bands like Artemis Rising, Tempest (none of the ones on the Sput database are the same band), Northern Ghost, and Wristmeetrazor, AILD may seem irrelevant to me.

New song is not bad. I kind of like they did the Chorus A/B structure (sort of) similar to A Greater Foundation. I hope they do change things up but I highly doubt it, the comeback album will be a nostalgia album.

It has some great riffing and i like how they went balls out. Heavy AILD is best AILD. But of course they have to taint it with a boring chorus and boring breakdown. And that guitar solo was awesome but it felt like it was cut off early.

My Own Grave is better. The mix was better too, the new one sounds off. Also, is Jake Luhrs doing a guest spot on this or something? Some of those vocals towards the beginning of the song sound identical to his, and not at all like Tim.

Yeah I thought that too it does sound like Jake Luhrs in that song. Makes sense him and Tim hang out a lot

i really doubt it. after everything that happened i don't think anyone is trying to associate themselves with Tim, at least not publicly.

i think today is the first time in a long time i felt like I could give this band a second chance at being enjoyable again. i'm about to try...what really got me started was thinking earlier about how much i enjoyed their cover song of Evil Eye lol

If Tim slayed that track any harder he'd be in jail for murder. Damn!

listened and yeah that sounds pretty spot-on for Jake Luhrs. if it is him I'd be surprised they haven't said anything about it anywhere

i just realized, that chorus sounds like a shitty version of Wrath Upon Ourselves' chorus.
