Sometimes they would stop and pray and get the audience to pray with them... That is some low-down dirty shit if you ask me, financial situations not-withstanding. And it pisses me off personally because for years I've had hardcore christians confronting me and saying AILD are devil-worshipping music under the guise of christian metal. I always laughed and felt sorry for them. Boy was I pissed when those dipshits turned out to be completely right about something...

The prayer stuff was actually shit that happened after the set when they were interacting with fans. They didn't actually stop mid-set to pray (as far as I know). Still feels really exploitative to me but sorry for the exaggerated claim. Their shows were great from what I've seen, everybody on point. Even if they prayed between every song I'd still go see them just to hear Anodyne Sea
