This band would be a lot better if it weren't for those absolutely awful cleans.

The Sound of Truth is their best song imo.

yeah that is definitely my favorite as well. agreed about the band ins. they have some good songs here and there but all of their albums are fairly average.

I still jam the two albums before this one sometimes, but to be honest pretty much every rating I have on these guys is probably about a star too high

For some reason I draw an analogy between the Prince of Persia trilogy and AILD's last three albums.
Ocean Between Us is like Sands of Time; It set the standard for the the next 3 albums and is considered generally a classic within its genre.

The Powerless Rise is the next album; Staying true to the original style but switching things up and ultimately becoming darker and more violent.

And then Overcome is like The Two Thrones; the (unexpected finisher) that is a return to a slightly more melodic composition form.

The color schemes of the album art even match kind of!

Find really stupid that people devalue music made by 5 people because one of them commited a crime or changed life views. I mean I get it, Tim was one an inspiration to me as well but he probably believed in what he wrote back then. And whatever if he didn't, it sure meant something to me. And lastly, who cares. The music sounded awesome. No, I don't admire him anymore, I wouldn't take pleasure in shaking his hand and telling how much his music did for me, not since you know what. But the music is still the same. Learn to separate

This rant is not necessarily directed to the people involved in this thread, btw.
