But this band arent even that big here and your 10,000 miles away and know loads about them. Your knowledge is immense!

I'm digging "The Road" and "Bleed." You're right, they are better off just having Cromby at the helm. After some refinement I bet their next album will be a killer rock release.

They should be that big over there, but you're not the only country in the world whose airwaves are hogged by female pop singers. Signed: Immense Davey.

Ecnalzen, I may have been right about them being better with just Liam out front, but your highlights (the 2 singles) mean I am wrong about the better songs apparently! ;-(

Thanks for answering my summary vaguely andcas.

Well, that was all I could find on Youtube. Do they have the album streaming somewhere?

Wait, so hang on.... They only decided to make Liam the singer now?

Woh, if you dig them, then you'll rate this album a 5. I have those 2 singles as the 7th & 9th best songs on here! I know the full album is streaming on their facebook. It was released yesterday in the UK so I'm sure it will be everywhere soon.

Correct Stephen... He is all by his lonesome out front.

WHat?... Hang the hell on! The other fella sang on their other albums? Hang the hell on! They had two singers. One sang incredibly well and the other was fairly decent at shouting and they chose the chap who could shout instead the fella who can do it all? ...What were they thinking?

No, no, no... You have it the wrong way around Stephen. The shouter is gone... The "do all" man is Liam.

Yeah, I know, that's what I'm saying! =P
Sorry, my last post was mad looking haha!

On their early albums they had mr. shouty? Why? Makes no sense! I like the contrasts the two had on some of their songs but Liam should have been the lead throughout.

I agree that the contrast was effective for most of their songs, but I guess that's the point: They're not the same band now. The other thing to note is that Liam shows off his versatility a great deal more here & nails almost everything.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He's really able to diversify. He has a great range. I especially like The Road for that as an example.

Am I? Haha! =D I thought I was agreeing with you. I mean, I agree it's a weaker track but it
does show what Liam's able to do.

On a side note; I always thought these guys were American. That's mad.

It doesn't look like they are going to release a physical copy in the states. They only have a download on their website for it. That sucks. I prefer having the actual CD instead of just the mp3s and imports are usually expensive.

To be fair, Green has said he was writing stuff for City and Colour before he was even in Alexisonfire. I've read that "No Transitory" from 'Watch Out' was originally a City and Colour song and so were parts of the lyrics from "Where Know One Knows" from the self titled album. Dan Brown said he left so he could concentrate on being the band's manager and Green left Alexisonfire so he could concentrate on City and Colour. I don't really see much of a difference here. Besides, if 'Dog's Blood' was any indication of the direction they were going in, he wouldn't have been singing much anyway.

LOL Stephen, you are indeed a confusing gentlemen. 1st I thought you were mad, but you weren't; then I thought you were wrong, but you weren't; now I thought you liked a song, but you didn't. Haha. And even Alexisonfire aren't American! I think it's pretty cool that you get a bit of Liam's accent on a couple of songs here. I initially didn't like the closer, but it grew on me big time. It actually has a sing-along quality to it that I initially missed/ignored.

Looks like they're following the Lostprophets model on a US release. Blame the record labels I guess.

I wonder if Liam would still be there if Brown had remained in WATO. The bottom line is that Dallas didn't have his heart totally in Alexisonfire anymore, then it probably would have been counter-productive had he stayed.
