Let me be clear I'm not opposed to legit fun in music. I just think songs like Buddy Holly are annoying it's just too catchy for it's own good. I just don't value the kind of soulless catchiness of that song. Every song on Pinkerton has more substance than that one.

The appeal of weezer was the geek gimmick. It resonated massively back then and was a breath of fresh air. They actually meant something.

Both this and Pinkerton are 4.5's for me, prefer Pinkerton a little bit.

"What's with these homies dissin' my girl?
Why do they gotta front?
Pretty dated lingo"
You don't hang around enough teenagers because it actually isn't
|
| |
When was the last time you hung around teenagers because as one I can say with confidence no one talks like that

I don't know, the term "fronting" has become pretty popular again in recent years
|
| |
I'll say dissin' is kinda still used but homies is laughable and I don't really hear people say fronting unironically

I still hear those phrases used often in my high school so idk maybe it's a generation thing or something
|
| |
Or maybe it's location thing, I'm in Ireland so depending on where you live our terminology will probably be vastly different. I mean here "I'm getting pure mowldy, lad" means I'm getting drunk
