Feels like some of their best constructed material to me, if it's really only a mid-tier song than the new album could become my new favorite of theirs. Production also sounds very pleasant.

I just heard it too and absolutely agree. It's a LOT to take in. I can't possibly rate it on first listen.
That being said, I think Katatonia might have honed their sound to perfection here.

new album isn't gripping me, Katatonia definitely takes many many listens before something clicks, but, there are no "WOW" parts in here like DEK had. And I'm not sure, but I wish Jonas would stop using effects on his vocals, the effect to make it more "hazey". Still think his best performances was on Wisdom of Crowds.
