Listening to this for the first time today. Pretty good stuff so far. I like the variety.

Why, because he doesn't fuck up the review with irrelevant details? Who cares what label or how long the singer has been in the industry. Besides, this was released on Profound Lore and there's a reason why Kyle went the direction he did with the review because they moved up in the label world.

speaking of ash pool his latest release isn't half bad, better than i was expecting considering the quality of his material as of late

Ash Borer on Hospital? That just wouldn't be right.
Hospital an industrial label? We must not be looking at the same catalogues. (Though they have released some great industrial/rhythmic noise albums...)
"speaking of ash pool his latest release isn't half bad, better than i was expecting considering the quality of his material as of late"
I still don't think it compares to any of the first five albums (except "Black Bondage in the North"... that was pretty boring), but yeah, it was a nice change considering how bad the last full-length was. I dig a few tracks on "World Turns on its Hinge" but that second LP was just terrible. 'Big bang black metal' my ass.

No guys Fernow is the guy that's really behind this band, he was like the Nader Sadek of black metal i'm pretty sure.

S/T is better but this has more diversity.

Hmm... the last two tracks didn't do anything for me really, but the first two were pretty darn good.
(Other than the female vocals on Convict All Flesh... that was a cool touch. In fact, that whole song is kinda growing on me lol.)

Had bump up my rating. S/T was a shower, but this one's more of a grower.
