The first two tracks are pretty uninteresting. Album starts to get good about eight minutes into "Convict All Flesh".

Almost finished listening to the album but I dig so far, although not as enjoyable as some past

material.

Also, good review. The only thing I don't like about it is how you made it seem like them being on

Profound Lore or releasing a cd was a big deal or would impact the music heavily. You also mention

WITTR at the end, which I didn't really get, their on Southern Lord which may be just as big as PL or

maybe more.

I'm not huge on black metal, especially super lofi stuff (don't hit me), so this seems much more up my alley than their old stuff

This will probably be a 3.5 for me like their other albums if most people are going to rate this in the 4-4.5 range. Very good band but don't seem to like them as much as Fell Voices for example. Stellar review as always Kyle.

I wanted to relate the fact that Ash Borer will likely not become as popular in the american bm scene as WITTR, I was not implying any connection between the two sounds because they are almost nothing alike.

Track three and four are enjoyable but the first two just don't do anything for me...

Sorry Kyle.

If this was a 2-track LP like last year's Fell Voices then this would be an easy 4.5 for me

Impressed by this release, enjoyed it more than the self titled and the demo. I miss some of the atmosphere and rawness, but the tight musicianship makes up for it for sure.
