This kinda sucks compared to everything they did before it tbh. Hopefully I'll post an angry review for it at some point, if I can ever get around to finishing what I have already written

s/t was frantic fury. On this one it's like the rhythm guitarist forgot how to play fast and instead just plays slower to make a staticy background atmosphere instead.

That new track is pretty much everything I never knew I always wanted from the band. Loving the occult atmosphere

Yeah production is perfectly balanced in terms of rawness vs clarity/crispness

OMG
listening without headphones it sounds like they didn't muffle the rhythm guitar like they did on this album? And the drums don't sound half as clunky as they did here. So that's good.

new song rips fucking hard, but honestly is anyone surprised about that?

The rhythm guitar is purposefully put to the back of the mix and slowed down so that it adds nothing to the tempo or the rest of the music but background fuzziness, and the drums are super clunky sounding. And the guitar tone (and vox for that matter) are super tinny. It's like they half wanted to be Burzum but forgot how to do that. I've had a review for this half-written for like three months now but I haven't been able to figure out how to get all of my complaints in :/
