yeah the deluxe version isn't bad

only problem is it doesn't end with The Priest and The Matador which is basically a perfect closer ;]

So this and If there is light are incredible, Renacer and Pull the Thorns are both really solid but I prefer the more pop/rock-hardcore than the hardcore-hardcore. From the depths of dreams is pretty awesome. I need to check out the other 3 LP's still.

LINAWR was really good, but SS has that emotional connection and more musical diversity imo

^Priest and the Matador is a top 3 SF song for me.

The Fire is where they started to put a bit more focus on the hardcore side of things. I'd definitely recommend LIEY based on his liking for their post-hardcore sound over their melodic-hardcore sound.

Priest and The Matador, the title track, and Sick or Sane are my favorites of the non-singles on here.

yea but the hardcore side of things is on like 3 songs. headed west saint anthony and hold on are banger pop punk tunes

also the songs where they do introduce the hardcore sound more (new years day, coward, lifeboats) also have fantastic choruses and are arguably their best attempts at the hxc song ever

Coward's probably my favorite heavy SF song, so I'd have to agree. I love the overall energy on that album. Buddy's frustrations with his personal life really translates to the heavier songs being some of their most bitter and abrasive they've done.
