Those three bands are about as safe as you can possibly get for 'prog metal' in the sense that barely anyone doesn't at least respect them - they're the music connoisseurs 'easy win' for the 'I don't actually like prog but...' crowd
plenty more people shit on Opeth than any of those three. A lot more people love Opeth too, it just goes with the territory of being such a 'big fish' I suppose
