Ignore KjSwantko. He's being an idiot. Probably has never picked up a guitar in his life.

Just because you've been playing for "a decade or so" doesn't mean you automatically have the right to rip on anybody that plays differently than you do i.e. uses effects.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting this album to be very heavy or lyrically deep. If you were expecting that, remember we're talking about mainstream rock here. It's extremely rare to find a band like that in the genre.
All I was expecting was a fun hard rock album with some excellent guitar work, and I was very satisfied. Great drums too.
Wait did I just make an unintentional pun? Fuuuuu

AB's lyrics are pretty good imo, so I guess that's one reason to expect these to be a bit better than what they are.

Yeah, with AB the lyrics work well in their simplicity and directness, not so here. That was to be expected though since Myles
is clearly the better lyricist.

I'm an Alterbridge fan and I do appreciate Creed for what they are, so I might be biased. I think the album is better than what I expected simply from the fact that it was a solo project, but after hearing it, I would say it is what it is. Descent. Nothing earth shattering but not a terrible song on the album. Which is more you can say for most in the genre. Overall it's rock album with good guitar work from beginning to end. If you don't like the genre then you won't like the album. It's pretty simple. I think people hate this guy for no apparent reason outside him being from Creed. I agree with the review about 100%.

The title track has one of Tremonti's best riffs ever. Great album, but I wish more songs on here were like that one.
