I was referring to DTP and his other solo works. Check out my dig if you want Tarkus, it might impress you.

Weird, my 2 favorite Porcupine Tree albums came out after Lightbulb Sun. Fair to Midland and Rishloo are 2 other awesome prog rock bands. The point is that there's plenty of good modern prog out there.

deadwing is the pest post-LS p-tree
fear is cool, i find in absentia really bland, incident fares no better

if you havent heard everything through stupid dream you should get on that, its far and away better than anything else theyve done

and not really a fan of FtM and rishloo

I'll definitely give it a listen. I honestly haven't checked out any PT albums prior to Lightbulb Sun.

Oh, this finally came out? Gotta check it out soon then.

one the greatest heavy metal records of the year for me

*one of

Also, you need a period.

Also, you might need to listen to some more heavy metal records. I could be wrong though.

@Aso Dang, I thought I got all the punctuation errors. Guess not. Thanks for the feedback, even if it is minor.

Also, read the rest of this thread. I don't need to listen to more heavy metal, I'm just a huge Tremonti fanboy.

Oh look, BirthRite still hasn't found a life and/or significant other yet.

Anyway, yeah. This definitely turned out to be pretty awesome. I kind of wish he went even heavier though. It still ended up being a little too similar to Alter Bridge for me. He leans too much on his usual tricks with a lot of the vocal melodies and choruses. However, his voice really just isn't cut out for the heavier stuff so I guess this was for the best. "Wish You Well" would have been perfect with a more powerful vocal performance.

I cannot wait to listen to this. The solo in the "So You're Afraid" teaser got me hyped.

There's so many awesome solos on this. My favorite solos are the ones on "Leave It Alone" and "New Way Out." They're all great though.
